Ive got two hard drives and I want to run both ubuntu and xp

My laptop has two hard drives. I would like to be able to use both ubuntu and windows. Windows and all my multimedia files are on C: I want to put Ubuntu on D: and still be able to use my multimedia files on both systems. I have an ATI Mobility Radeon X1400. I would also like to use Beryl. Can someone please guide a newbie through this. Ive looked for info on dual booting but they seemed to be geared to people with one hard drive. thanks.
ps. - I have an intel T2300 @ 1.66Ghz with 2GB of RAM
