does ubuntu tweak occasionally loose the network connection during its cleaning process? I only do updates on Lubuntu 13.04 then use Tweak but the last week lost LAN so had to reinstall

I have compaq nx7300 using dual boot with windows xp; still using windows and doing just update of Lubuntu 13.04 then cleaning with Ubuntu Tweak; yesterday after about one week of only using windows the ethernet had just "lo" connection on Lubuntu which downloaded a few bytes and stopped until i tried "software update" retry again so wouldn't connect; i had to reinstall and now it works again. I have not downloaded Ubuntu Tweak again until i get clear that this program is not at fault. The internet on windows xp was unaffected.
