Not sure about how to translate "Input feedback sounds:"

Asked by Sylvie Gallet

Hi,

Just worked on the French translation, but I couldn't translate "Input feedback sounds:" because I dont understand what it is about. I tried Ubuntu Tweak 0.7.3 with this setting on and off, and I couldn't notice any difference. Please, enlighten me!

Best regards

Sylvie

Hi,

As far as I know, this option only work under Unity 2D/GNOME, you can log into Unity 2D desktop, open your terminal, then double press "Tab", you will hear the sound.

If you turn off this option, you will not hear the sound.

OK! I found what it is: in some, but not all, applications, you get a sound when you click on a button. For example, it works, even under Unity 3D, in Nautilus, Gnome Commander, Ubuntu Tweak, but not in Firefox or Thunderbird.
