Unity and Gnome Classic combined

Asked by BuelentR

My latest observation might be of no interest: I am playing around with three desktops: Unity, Gnome 3.4, and Gnome Classic (before making a final decision). I am using Ubuntu Tweak for one or the other reason every day. I observed that when using Gnome Classic the submenu for Unity is inactive - evidently.

Yesterday, I used Ubuntu Tweak under Gnome Classic, and on the favourite bar tio the right the menu for Unity was there - and I clicked it. Suddenly I had a combination of both desktops - Unity and Gnome Classic. At first, I did not know what to do, since I did not like the idea of having both.

 I wanted to re-install everything.

By coincidence I found out then, that when installing CCSM - CompizConfig Settings Manager - you can simply unclick the Unity add-on - a feature which I did not find in Ubuntu Tweak.

I do not know whether this a bug or something the like. It was simply annoying - and so I wanted to put down my observation.....

Thank you very much, this is an bug.

The Unity shouldn't be showed in the Recently Used items when you are not in Unity desktop.

I will create a bug report then to fixed it. Thanks.
