language-pack-cv (Chuvash) not enabled

Asked by Ali Savatar

Hello. I've read on "https://wiki.ubuntu.com/UbuntuTranslationsCoordinators" that our language (Chuvash) is listed as having no locale codes. How can we fix it?

I can not find the CV locale in hardy or intrepid. Don't know exaclty how they were enabled.

I will try to work togheter with Ali to define a locale for CV.

Ali can you provide a locale for file for CV, or do you need guidance?

OK, I'll be posting translated locale strings here then.

LC_MESSAGES
yesexpr "<U005E><U005B><U0079><U0059><U005D><U002E><U002A>" % "^[yY].*"
noexpr "<U005E><U005B><U006E><U004E><U005D><U002E><U002A>" % "^[nN].*"
END LC_MESSAGES

I think we'll stick to the English ones for now to avoid confusion between "şapla" and "şuk".

LC_MONETARY
currency_symbol "<U0074><U002E>" % "t." - short for "tenkĕ", Chuvash name for rouble
mon_grouping 3;3 % - not sure what it is...
END LC_MONETARY

All other monetary strings are the same as in ru_RU.

Ali,

I will move this discussion on a bug report so that we could link it to glibc and to upstream maintainer
