I am creating a team that will work on the Inuktitut translation, can you link the PTI team to the language?

We'd be happy to appoint you as the coordinator for Inuktitut in Ubuntu. However, before we can do that, could you please make sure you have followed the checklist on this page as mentioned on my previous e-mail?

- Looking at the https://launchpad.net/~inuit team you've created, it does not follow the naming convention suggested in the document. The Launchpad team name should be 'ubuntu-l10n-<ISO code for Inuktitut>'. Could you please create a new team with that name? (we'll then take care of deleting the old one)
- Also there is no information at all on what the team does on the description. The team in Launchpad is the place you'll be directing contributors to, so I'd recommend writing a brief but useful welcoming message. A single line without real information will tend to drive them away.
- The same for the team title: 'PTI' does not say anything about what the team does. I'd suggest 'Ubuntu Inuktitut translators'

Once you've resolved these issues, we can then take the Inuktitut approval forward.

Before the team can be accepted, could you please address the following points?

- Please change the team name to something more descriptive than 'ubuntu-l10n-ui team'. The team name should describe what the team does. I'd suggest "Ubuntu Inuit translators" or something along those lines.
- Could you comment briefly on each of the points in the "Before you apply" section on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Translations/KnowledgeBase/StartingTeam

Once you've done that and everything is ok, I'll be happy to include the team in the Ubuntu Translators group.

I took a look at your request and the updates you have been doing.
To me, it looks OK, one question I have is: when you refer to "roman ortography" do you mean that you will translate in Inuktitut using latin alphabet and not the Inuktitut glyphs? If it is the former, I think everything should be fine with this request, otherwise we should take a look how well supported are the Inuktitut glyphs in Ubuntu.

After we have also another +1 for your request, we can safely approve your team.

I will start by using latin alphabet and look into Inuktitut glyths, that is correct. I have translated some websites in syllabic (Inuktitut glyths), so I know the challenges. But that will be a second phase much later on.
