How to add Afar Language on Ubuntu disc language screen?

Hi

When I insert Ubuntu disc into CD drive, the Language screen appears. But I didn't find Afar language among this languages to do installation in Afar.

I would like to know, how can I fix this problem? Which Files do I have to translate? I already translate bootloader, debian-installer, and ubiquity-debconf, etc...

I need your help to chose Afar language in the language screen on the next Ubuntu release.

Hi Charif,

if I got your question right, you are not seeing the Afar language among the languages of the installer.
In order to have your language appear on the installer, you should probably start with the debian-installer parts, but you should do that directly on Debian. Right now, the Afar language is not enabled on the Debian installer, you can check it out here:

you understood very well what I mean. I did "debian- installer" translation in Afar language and uploaded. Now, I would like to know which steps have I to follow to enable Afar language on the Debian Installer, and on Ubuntu installer?

Hi Charif,

sorry for the late reply.
If I'm not wrong, as long as you send your translations to Debian, and in Debian your language is enabled (you need to reach at leas 100% of translation for a part of the installer), it will be enabled also in Ubuntu. In this case it is really better to send everything to Debian and to work directly with them.

If you want to work with Debian, and I really suggest you to do so, you should read this page:

it's very detailed and describe the real situation regarding l10n of the debian-installer. It's not easy, 'cause it's a big project divided in different levels and sublevels, but if you need help, you can write to the Ubuntu translators mailing list or to the Debian i18n mailing lists, and you will find a lot of people that will help you.
