Hi Narine,

We'll be glad to appoint the Ubuntu Armenian Translators team for the translation into Armenian of Ubuntu. Before that though, could you please tell us more about how the points in https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Translations/KnowledgeBase/StartingTeam have been addressed?

I'd be interested in particular:

* Have you got translation guidelines for Armenian that you could use (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Translations/KnowledgeBase/TranslationGuidelines)?
* Are you going to be the team coordinator? Have you subscribed to the ubuntu-translators mailing list, as requested in the StartingTeamPage?
* Are you going to collaborate with upstreams? I believe you told me you were in the GNOME upstream translation team.

Thanks!

(./) Guidelines. The team should have a set of translation guidelines. This can be arranged after the team has been accepted, but it is a requirement.

The translation guidline isn't ready yet, but I am working on it.

(./) Coordinator. The team should have a coordinator, who should subscribe to the ubuntu-translators mailing list and forward any relevant announcements or information to the team.

I've already subscribed to the mailing list as a coordinator .

(./) Upstream collaboration. The team should be aware of any upstream translation efforts (e.g. GNOME, KDE, Mozilla, OpenOffice.org, Debian, etc.), and coordinate with them if possible. You'll find more information about the different upstreams here.

Our team will collaborate with the upstream projects as we done before with GNOME.

Hi Narine,

Thanks for the info and the quick reply.

I've now appointed your team as responsible for Armenian translations in Ubuntu. Welcome to Ubuntu Translations!

If you've got some time, I'd like to ask you to look into the remaining points in the "After the team has been accepted" section in the https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Translations/KnowledgeBase/StartingTeam document.

Thanks!
