Using Brainstorm after Installation

Asked by Phillip Barnes

I'm attempting to create my own website running brainstorm. I seem to have it up and running fine using the installation instructions (https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Brainstorm/Installation) but I can't figure out how to make the site functional

For example, I don't know how to submit any ideas to the site.

It seems like there is some configuration I need to do since the URLs are different on two different sites:
http://www.blenderstorm.org/qapoll/ideas/submit
http://brainstorm.ubuntu.com/submit/

Can you please tell me how to submit ideas and also, how do I add categories?

My site can be found at "http://lifestyle.cabanga.org/environmental/".

Thank you for your time,
Phillip

Hi!

The front page of your installation can be found at http://lifestyle.cabanga.org/environmental/qapoll/ideas/
Here it says that no polls are defined in your website. It's because your are not using the "brainstorm.ubuntu.com" domain name, but your own one.
To correct that, you will have to change the occurences of "brainstorm.ubuntu.com" into "lifestyle.cabanga.org" in the SQL table qawebsite_site, and "http://lifestyle.cabanga.org/environmental/" in qapoll_entry_point.

For more info, and more easier debugging, please meet us at #ubuntu-testing on IRC!

Thanks,
Nicolas
