Ubuntu on EC2

How do I connect to my EC2 instance

REAL Noob here, so please be patient.

Well I got my 10.04 instance going (not sure Amazon says it is), but when I try to ssh via Elasticfox my terminal pops up, but just shuts right down. Nada, zip, zilch, nothing. I am running 10.04 as my desktop as well.

I am ssssoooo lost on how to connect to my instance so I can get going. Anything you can point me to would be a big help.

Turns out if you go into the AWS console and right click your instance it will give you the ssh command, just be sure to change the user "root" to "ubuntu"
