How to use fullscreen mode with Nexus 10 (with pdf files)?

Asked by Guillaume Daniel

I am using Ubuntu touch (devel channel) on my Nexus 10 tablet.
How can I open pdf files in fullscreen mode using Document Viewer?
The current version only opens a tab on the right side of the screen... It is a pity not to use the full screen for reading purpose!!

Let me know if this is possible, or it is has been planned for a future development...

Thanks

G.

Hi Guillaume,

Sorry for the late answer but I haven't been notified about your question.

I had a first look at your issue, and seems to be caused by a string in the .desktop file (X-Ubuntu-StageHint=SideStage), which has been introduced when the project was unmaintained.

I'll open a bug report later this evening, and provide you a link to track any progress of the fix.
A new update of the Document Viewer is scheduled for the next week: hopefully the fix will be ready in time. :-)

Thank you very much for reporting your experience. It's nice to know that we have some Nexus 10 user testing the DocViewer!

Cheers,
Stefano

Hi
Thamks for taking this issue into consideration!
By the way I noticed that several apps suffer the same limitation on N10: parameters settings, google maps among others...

Do you think fixing the bug for document viewer will fix if fod other apps as well? Or shall i post separate requests?

Thank you
G.

It would be better to do separate requests (i.e. opening a new bug report), so that any project can manage the workflow in an optimal way.

The fix provided for Document Viewer is just for Document Viewer, since it's not system wide.

Can you help with this problem?

Provide an answer of your own, or ask Guillaume Daniel for more information if necessary.
