Feedback on the Lenovo Thinkpad L512

My machine is Lenovo L512 with Windows 7 is 32 Bit operating system. Lenovo bios 81ET63WW (1.39 )

The download available: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64-bit
BIOS Lenovo: 81ET59WW (1.35 ) (Legacy)
Available from ubuntu.com from http://www.ubuntu.com/certification/hardware/201101-6973/
Is there a 32 bit Ubuntu OS that I can download? Please...

Hi Lynn,

As you can see on the page you link, the Lenovo Thinkpad L512 has been certified working properly with Ubuntu 12.04 64 bits. You can therefore install this version (64 bits) without problem.

I found this device's datasheet [1] on Lenovo's website and it looks like different versions of Windows can be installed on it, both 32 bits and 64 bits.

What I would recommend is to try Ubuntu (64 bits) on a Live USB (we have a guide to help you do this [2]). If it works well, you can install it on your device easily directly from the Live USB.

You may also want to try out the latest Long Term Support version, Ubuntu 14.04 (64 bits).

Thank you I will try this.
OS Disc version of Ubuntu did work on the USB flash drive.
For Lenovo one must press F12 key to boot from USB, CD/DVD etc.

Can you help with this problem?
