Ubuntu Server 14.04.2 LTS on the IBM x3250 M3

I tried to check the certification of IBM x3250 M3 on Ubuntu. It's still on Ubuntu server 12.04. Is the IBM System x3250 M3 able to run Ubuntu server 14.04.2?

Hi,

The x2350 M3 was last certified for 12.04 LTS but IBM/Lenovo did not wish to re-certify it for 14.04 because it is no longer sold by them (It's been replaced by M4 and possibly M5 models at this point).

However, while it is technically not something we'd support without an Ubuntu Advantage[1] contract it should work fine since 14.04 is a later release and should maintain all the support that 12.04 included.
