my (recently bought) 6550b has an core i5 ("M4") with M93/radeon Hd 4500 display
82577/LC gigabit nic.......

An alternative explanation is that HP sell the same system in different configurations. I wouldn't depend on your configuration working perfectly, but certainly worth a try if you so wish. The configuration tested as 'certified' is as stated on the site, i.e. Celeron CPU, Intel graphics and wireless.
