Loading external diff/merge tools with TortoiseBZR

I'm currently using Bzr 1.11 on windows XP and I'm trying to setup TortoiseBZR to load an external diff/merge tool with TortoiseBZR. I've created a diff alias that loads my external diff tool and it works in the command line, but it will still load the default diff tool when in TortoiseBZR. Does anyone know if it's possible to do this?

Any help would be appreciated.

Tortoise uses 'bzr qdiff' under the covers, so this question reflects bug 247976.
