"merge" error

i use the 1.3.9 release, When i try to merge a file in an other i have this error msg

Can you please open a bug report (http://taskcoach.org/getsupport.html) and attach an anonymized copy of both task files? You can save an anonymized copy using the Help->Anonymize menu item.

I download the 1.3.12 release to test the merging
when i try to merge a file to another, after merging, task coach delete my own information and replace them by the second file.I try again after changing the root name of the category which contains all my categories.But it does not work.
I do not know if it is normal.
I though that the function "merge" just replace tasks in existing categories or add them if they do not exist.But in my case, it delete and replace.
I do not know if it is clear for you.
I will try to explain you what i want. In fact we are a team, we work in same projects but with different tasks for each of us.Each member has his own file.tsk with his name as a root categorie. I'm a supervisor and i want to be able to merge their files to mine to follow their activities.
for example: I'm AMANI, I have a file with root categorie named "AMANI"

my colleague an another with "James" as a root.
When i merge his file to mine.i want to keep my categorie"AMANI" and add "James" to be able to see his task without deleting mine.

It is supposed to work as you describe. Please open a bug report and provide two example task files that show the bug.
