disable grub update?

Hi, I am about to install avlinux, which is distributed as a hybrid iso built by systemback. I have another distro that manages grub installed on a different hard drive. When I have installed multiple distros in the past, the other distro sometimes has problems with the way the other distros have installed grub (multiple installs or conflicts of single install). Is there a disable grub option? I would like to run grub update from within the other distro if that is possible. Thanks!

Yes, it is possible. Simple just disable the GRUB installation on the GUI.
