systemback live system create - write to tarket wants to format dev/sdb

Asked by bill

I have a 1TB external passport hard drive that has other backups on it. After I created a 131gig live system sblive file it does not allow to save as an iso (file constraint) and wants to format the dev/sdb. 1) it does not state that it wants to format by my passport drive - i assume it will not format my work laptop drive (source), and 2) i dont want my passport drive formatted - just want to save the image of my work laptop.

I am affraid to continue and click "Write to Target"

Please advise

The ISO limit is 4 GiB, and the "Write to Target" button is usable when you want to create a bootable Live medium (USB device or SD Card). If you want to copy the .sblive image file, just use a file manager.

Thanks for the quick reply. I copied the sblive file to my external
passport drive. How do I now restore it to a different laptop? Can I do
from my passport or do I have to write to a bootable thumb?

This is a Live image, you need to write it to a target device (USB drive or SD card) to boot.

Can you help with this problem?
