The restore point creation is aborted

Asked by Dmitriy

Ubuntu Mate 15.04. /boot + lvm(/root /home /swap) filesystem ext4
Can't make first restore point on standard settings to /home partition.
Error message:
"The restore point creation is aborted!
There has been critical changes in the file system during this operation."
Error keeps appearing at the 99/100% of process even after reboot and launching just systemback.

 Unsafe X Window authorization!
Please do not use 'sudo' command.

I type "sudo systemback" or should I use different command?

The 'sudo' is not safe for the windows. Please use the following command:
/usr/lib/systemback/sbsustart systemback

"/usr/lib/systemback/sbsustart systemback" just running systemback in GUI

I found command
systemback-cli

it returns same error but on 96% of process:

"The restore point creation is aborted!

There has been critical changes in the file system during this operation."

Sorry for the delay. I fixed this issue in the daily builds (bzr297+), and I will update the stable version at tomorrow. If you want just check the daily PPA (nemh/systemback-daily) and report back. :-)

Thanks for such easy to use and functional program. Today after removing LXC the restore point created succesfully, and after trying to restore it was only one noticeable issue. The history of Firefox was cleaned but this isn't important. I will reinstall lxc and try to make restore point again on Monday with new stable version and report back. And it was quick fix, thanks again. :-)
