Error: An error occurred while creating new initramfs image

Asked by MBWD

I did a clean install of Ubuntu 15.04 (Clean Install) on a partition adjacent to another partition running 15.04 (Old Install). I copied /home from Old Install to Clean Install. Systemback worked on Old Install. But on Clean Install, I'm getting the error: "An error occurred while creating new initramfs image" when I try to create a new Live System. Other functions of Systemback appear to work (I only tried Creating a New Install Point and Exclude).

I removed Systemback and reinstalled it, but that didn't fix the issue.

Any idea what I messed up when I went from Old to Clean?

Thanks!

Apparently, the approach of re-installing Systemback DID WORK. I just had to reboot. On reboot, the error was gone and a Live System was created without issue.

Yeah, this happens when the current kernel was removed (system upgrade).
