Is there a way to create an ISO with customized grub entries?

Asked by fossfreedom

Is there a way with SystemBack to create an ISO with additional boot-grub options?

For example, I would like to ensure that the ISO boots automatically with a "toram" grub entry to force the whole CD to boot into ram. The question I suppose is equally applicable if I wanted to add other boot entries such as noacpi or nomodeset.

thanks in advance for any suggestions.

It is possible. After the .iso is created (basically it is converted from .sblive), the isolinux/isolinux.cfg and boot/grub/grub.cfg are editable by hand. But all GRUB/Syslinux menuentry are editable after the 'E'/TAB key is pressed. So all kernel options are usable even if they do not have a separate menu items.
But otherwise the .cfg file contents are hard-coded in /usr/bin/systemback binary.

ok - thanks for the hint.

I used isomaster to edit isolinux/isolinux.cfg

Thus, my end-user doesnt need to understand about E/Tab and adding the parameter any more :)

cheers
