Wireless is not working

When I boot up to the desktop, I will be notified that I am connected to (none), but I still have no connectivity to the internet. Then I try to look for available networks to find my own. I don't see any available wireless networks, there are usually 3 including mine. I try to manually enter it in and it will connect me to the proper essid, but I still have no connectivity. I connect to my modem hard wired to install drivers. I restart as instructed and the problem still exists. I try to restore and the problem still exists.

I have exhausted my research at knowledge76 and ubuntuforums.

Hi Thomas.

Thanks for the question. Go ahead and click on the network manager icon, then click on edit connections. On the wireless tab, go ahead and delete any connections listed there. Then try connecting again. Did that fix it?
