DVD Player issue

My Serval Professional Stopped Playing DVDs the other day. Giving me a "Cant read from resource". I also was trying to use virtualbox to sandbox windows and the DVD does not fully load after even letting it set over night. I have tried several DVDs to play and no success. I used my Ubuntu that was loaded on a USB thumb drive and booted from there to see if it was an issue with the OS on the hard drive and found the same issue.
