Can't edit config.json file

Hello I'm trying to edit some plugins's configurations as explained on wiki page ( http://synapse.zeitgeist-project.com/wiki/index.php?title=Plugins/Configuration ), but if I restart Synapse, the config.json file is reverted to the original status, deleting my changes.

There is a way to solve the problem? Am I doing something wrong?

Make sure that Synapse isn't running while you're editing the file.
