Graphics flickers and crashes

I have installed the distro, which ran smoothly on the live USB, but is now flickering when I open apps, minimise and maximise, as well as simply select items on the screen. I get random crashes too and it all seems to be linked to the graphics. I am using intel mobile graphics, but I have run multiple distros (both ubuntu and fedora based) without any issues until now. It is definately elementary specific.

Can anyone help with this?
