What is difference between Openstack swift and Sheepdog..? are they same ?

What is difference between Openstack swift and Sheepdog..? are they same ? I am asking this question bcoz we are planning to implement openstack . All suggestions are welcome on openstack implementation

sheepdog (http://www.osrg.net/sheepdog/) is a block storage system

swift is an object (think data blob) storage system.

I'm not familiar with sheepdog, but swift can scale to tens of thousands of hard drives and petabytes of data.

Can you help with this problem?
