Typing in Search Window Crashes Stellarium

Running Stellarium on a late-2012 iMac with Sierra 10.12.5 When I try to enter any text in the Search function, Stellarium immediately crashes, as soon as I key the first letter. It doesn't matter whether I use the on-screen keyboard, or my iMac keyboard, the immediate crash still occurs.
