Website logged in as incorrect user

Asked by Seb Maynard

Hi,

I visited login.ubuntu.com and found I had a stored password for an old account;

<email removed; I didn't realise these were public!!>

I then realised it was old and I'd forgotten I had it. So I logged out and logged back in with my real ubuntu account:

<email removed; I didn't realise these were public!!>

Then I clicked the "redeem" button on the humble indie bundle page to get my games on my ubuntu account - this took me to software-center.ubuntu.com - and I clicked the "redeem" button - immediately I got an email to my old account at <email removed; I didn't realise these were public!!> saying thanks for the purchase - I double/triple/quadruple checked I was in fact logged in with <email removed; I didn't realise these were public!!> and was.

Somehow software-center.ubuntu.com and login.ubuntu.com were tracking different login sessions; I've since created a new incognito window, logged in as <email removed; I didn't realise these were public!!> and tried the redeem link - but now I get an error message!

This key has already been claimed by another user.

Please could my key be transferred to <email removed; I didn't realise these were public!!> (from <email removed; I didn't realise these were public!!>)

Thank you very much

Seb

Is it possible to remove this question? Apologies for submitted this to the wrong place; this was the only support link I could find in relation to software-centre purchases
