Simple Scan

How I should customize simple-scan?

I use OS Blag and connect my HP Deskjet-2050-J510, printer well work but Simple-scan does not detect HP Deskjet-2050-J510 scanner.
When I launch dmesg | grep usb I detect USB connections between computer and multifunctional HP Deskjet-2050-J510
How I should customize simple-scan?

Thank you but the not resolve problem.
This question only simple-scan!
Simple-scan by himself doesn't search scanner connected to the system, I have to become developer.
If you can help me tell me what is a language written Simple-scan ?
Or you know another way how customize Simple-scan for detect USB por at connection Scaner ?
If developer reading it, please Team build in Simple-scan button search Scanner in system.

simple-scan is written in vala, see e.g. https://github.com/mnagel/simple-scan
xsane, scanimage and simple-scan are all related in that they use the sane backend.

read https://help.ubuntu.com/community/SimpleScanHardwareIssues and understand why fixing this will involve xsane and sane-backends.
