[1.0.1] on Ubuntu 13.04 - Not working

I've been using Sikuli on Windows for about a year now. Working great on all aspects.

I'm now trying to get Sikuli working on Ubuntu in a Virtual Environment. I've tried with VirtualBox & Hyper-V.

OS's i've used PuppyLinux Slacko (latest release), Lubuntu & Ubuntu (13.04) 32 & 64 versions. I've read every article i can find from google searches "Sikuli Linux" and "Sikuli Ubuntu". In all cases i end up at the same point.

The Sikuli IDE opens. Looks normal. As a test i select Click or Find and then choose an image on the desktop. I click run, and it returns the same messages.

I've gotten to this point in about 9 different installations, thinking its simply me not being able to follow simple directions. I'm still convinced i'm missing something simple.

I've installed:
Open JDK 1.7 (Java 7)
OpenCV2.4 (pre installed ubuntu 13.04)
Tresseract

Any insight will be greatly appreciated.

I forgot to mention i've been using the latest veresion of Sikuli for these tests.

When i use straight Ubuntu Software center i get sikuli installed but i get even less with it. Here is a screen. The gui never opens, i just get that US Local message.

Upon saving a test case, image changes to "_CLICK-TO-CAPTURE"

Check with you installation and script if this is the issue. There is no build with fix so far, you can go for workaround proposed in the comments in that thread.

I managed to get some kind of makeshift solution (my clumsy try to get fixed build of sikuli-ide.jar).

You can try if it will work for you. I don't know, if my modified .jar for windows do, but you can try to get the compiled classes and put them to the .jar of yours, I described how to do that.

It looks like you have a mix up of RC3 stuff and version 1.0.1 stuff.

You should install/setup the version 1.0.1 into an empty folder.

... and the command files for the new version are now runIDE and runScript
