I can no longer edit/mark the screenshot

Asked by szgabor

I am running shutter on debian and the edit button is no longer available (greyed out) neither can I get it from the menu or right click on the image. The version is 0.85.1 Rev 725.

Reinstalled it but same issue. It was working before and I do really like this app.

Any suggestion ???

I actually made a screenshot but now sure how to upload...

Could you please run Shutter via terminal and check the output?

There should appear a message saying that libgoo-canvas-perl is missing,
right? libgoo-canvas-perl is an optional dependency and will be
suggested to you when you install the package (the different tools like
apt-get, aptitude, synaptic etc. handle suggested packages differently -
at least apt-get does not install them automatically).

You can simply install the needed packages with:
apt-get install libgoo-canvas-perl

Does this solve your problem?

Unfortunately there is no debian package of gnome-web-photo. You have to
compile it yourself. You can download the sources here:
http://ftp.acc.umu.se/pub/gnome/sources/gnome-web-photo/

If you need help with compiling it please let me know. I might be able
to help you here, but I can't promise ;-)
