Default Document Save Directory

I love how Scribes just starts auto-saving a document. Is there a way to configure the directory this happens in? Currently it saves to my desktop. I would love to be able to specify a sub-directory of my home folder for this.

It's not configurable. There's a bug report open to provide a command line option to change the default path of the editor. I haven't had time to work on it yet.

I would also like to have such feature.
Must not be a big deal.

But saving to
~/Documents/notes

helps not to pollute the default home direectory.

I'm also highly interested in this feature.
I mean it shouldn't be a big deal to let the people change the default-save-path .
But it is really anoying to have a lot of rubbish in the home directory.

You can change the path by tweaking the file

/usr/share/pyshared/SCRIBES/Globals.py

(you need root access)

There is a line that says:
folder_ = join(home_folder, "Desktop")

You can change to whatever you want.

I have it pointing to ~/scribes

So it wouldn't be too difficult it implement this into the setting dialogue. This way I wouldn't need to chnage system fles.
