Screenlets

Gnome-shell fade question

GS features its dash. I noticed that icons on desktop have fade off and show in effect, which makes it smooth. Screenlets just pops up and disappear.

Is it something hard to code? Or maybe there is some GNOME API to do that?

Just curious, its not that big deal.

I haven't tested Screenlets on GS at all, so I just don't know. Does Screenlets work fine in other respects?

The fact is that Screenlets is not developed too much nowadays. I'm just trying to keep it working on Ubuntu and everything else is just a bonus. If somebody would like to provide patches or technical information needed to make it work smoother on GS, it's totally welcome, of course... But in present state, there is noone to deal with it.

As for today there are no issues with screenlets, or i didn't face any of them. Working as it should.

I will keep using it, and report bugs. I would like to help but I'm unfortunately not a developer.
