Hi Roland,

Good question, at present there is no planned date for new releases. Because I am totally blocked by a problem between Xlib support and Gnome to translate the value of each key in different languages (French, Spanish, Russian, etc). Only support keyboards in English on Screekey can be very frustrating for the rest of the world.
What do you think?

Thanks for your interest!

I don't really know anything about Xlib as such, but I'll will try to see what I can find.

Are you still encountering this problem? If you are, I'm still interested in finding someone to help you.

Screenkey is a very useful application for screencasters, and it would be sad to see it die :).
I've added a card to our (2buntu.com's) Trello board for Screenkey - since we have an initiative on to revive dead (and awesome) Open Source projects, and Screenkey is one I personally don't wish to see die.

You can join us if you like, it's open to the public.
