Where is the "getting started" doc?

Asked by charles palmer

I'm hoping to get Riven running on my 81 year old Dad's iMac over the Christmas holidays. I foudn your work, and I must say I am mighty impressed. I'm ready to try it myself, but I really don't know where to start. I'm a cybersecurity geek but I haven't seen how to get moving with this. I have my old Riven CD's and I've downloaded and installed your stuff, but running your app asks for the Riven stuff and tryign to install that complains that it isn't supported on my Snow Leopard system.

Dad would really enjoy this, so I hope you can send me some dummy hints on getting this going.

Can you give me more information about the issue you are experiencing? When Riven X starts, it should display it's Welcome screen. At that time, simply insert your Riven disc (if you have a CD edition, insert Disc 1), and installation should begin. If that is not the case, please file a bug report on Launchpad, and make sure to attach a system profile as well as details on your Riven edition (original CD edition, Masterpiece edition, Myst 10th anniversary edition, etc.).

This is not a bug - it is resolved. I didn't fully read/understand the first screen from Riven X.

EVERYTHING WORKS BEAUTIFULLY! Many thanks!
