obtain a working Retromod

Bentokit retromod seems quite dead.
The home page http://bentokit.org does not exist any more, and I cannot find any modifications on the related Launchpad pages within the last two years.

Pity.

The tech at 3MBS forked Flywire code in 2008 and then claimed to others that his code worked better than the published code but that he "wasn't ready to release it yet". I didn't hear from him after that despite many emails and phone calls to attempt to get his copy . Ken and I worked with 3RRR to make Retromod stable and to work with their in-house playback system Bluegum. Then 3RRR paid Cyber Source to make improvements to Retromod. I heard very little from either party after that. Then the tech from 3MBS became the tech for 3RRR and I pretty much gave up at that point. For over 10 years, I've repeatedly offered to 3SYN, 3RRR, 3PBS, and 3MBS to do improvements for free, but only Phil Wales (the previous 3RRR tech) has ever accepted the offer. (And we received a small grant to develop it for 3RRR). After that, I ran a 24/7 support chat and email service on the bentokit.org website for a number of years, but the only interest it generated was from online radio stations who really wanted a automated playlist system and not the sophisticated sponsorship system that Retromod provides. I've never said I've given up, but it seems to be that many people have consistently worked against the philosophy of Open Source Software. I'm happy to provide the code I have. I have been meaning to put it up on github where my version of Flywire currently resides, but I felt that Flywire needed more attention. Now being many years old, however, Retromod needs a rethink, too. I had plans to make it even more touch-friendly than it currently is.
