Thanks for clarifying this. What is the best approach then to copy media files from a source to a destination tree and delete them afterwards?

What I am currently doing is selecting and copying files with RPD. In case these are just some few files I check the copied ones in the destination folders and delete them from the source manually. There are sometime files in the source I don't want to copy but also don't want to delete them (e.g. I get a thumb drive and need to copy and delete just some media files from).

In case there are dozens of files I run "fdupes destination-folder source-folder" and check the output. If it looks good I courageously do a "fdupes -f destination-folder source-folder | sed '/^$/d' | xargs -d '\n' ls -l" to once more list the files to be deleted and delete them then by "fdupes -f destination-folder source-folder | sed '/^$/d' | xargs -d '\n' rm".

Is there a smarter way to select, copy and delete some files from a source? As the delete option after downloading is not available yet maybe there's something around like rename the files copied or log them in a log file whatsoever.
