use existing users and tenants to generate load

Asked by Bryan Wang

Hi all,
When testing with rally's scenario: create-and-delete-stack.json, I got the following error:
Remote error: NotFound Could not find role, 86afbd9ef86845ba8f30ae6af8a1703a. (HTTP 404)

It seems that the temporary tenants and users created by rally doesn't have a role for heat stack create.

Is it possible to use existing users and tenants to generate the load? If so, how to do that?

Thanks.

hi! we are working on support existing users and this feature will be available soon.

If you need to set specific roles for created users, you can use RoleContext. Something like http://paste.openstack.org/show/199729/

thanks, it works with role context.
I just saw the meeting logs on 2015/4/7 (http://eavesdrop.openstack.org/meetings/rally/2015/rally.2015-04-07-17.01.log.html). So the release 0.0.3 will support existing users, right?

about existing users: there are several opened questions about support of existing users. As far as I know, Rally 0.0.3 will not support this feature, since new version will be released at this week. But we can hope that the next after 0.0.3 release can support it.
