Barcode not detected when testing form

Asked by Sam Crawley

Hi,

I've setup queXF on a fresh Ubuntu 22.04 install, but when I try to test form compatibility using the test_original.pdf or a basic form I've generated using LimeSurvey, the barcode is not detected. The box is drawn around the barcode correctly, but it shows red with "NO BARCODE DETECTED".

Any ideas what could be causing this?

Thanks,
Sam Crawley.

Hi Sam,

I haven't yet tested queXF with PHP 8.1 - which I believe is the default PHP in Ubuntu 22.04.

That is the likely cause. I will work on updating queXF to support PHP 8.1, but in the meantime - you could try using the containerised version of queXF: https://hub.docker.com/r/acspri/quexf/

Thanks, yes that fixed it. I should have used that to begin with!
