Shotcuts not available when menubar is closed.

Asked by David Britt

Hi there,

So this is a small issue, and I might be missing something obvious.
But I did notice that whenever the menu bar is toggled off, I can't trigger shortcuts like F6 to display the outline for example.

Maybe that's the way it's supposed to work?
I'm just wondering if this is the intended behavior, or if there is something in my settings that I can change that will let me trigger shortcuts while the menu bar is closed.

Thanks for this awesome program btw!
Use it almost every day :)

Hello David,

this is not intentional but seems to be consequence of how Qt sets up the visibility toggle actions for QDockWidget, at least this seems to affect only those shortcuts but not all of them. I guess the only reasonable workaround ATM is to change dock visibility with the menu bar visible and then hide the menu bar again.

Best regards,
Adam

Hi Adam,

Thanks, I've been working with it like that yes.
But thank you for the answer.
Hopefully, y'all will be able to work on it eventually.

Regards,
David
