Feature Request: Highlight current location in Outline

Asked by Johannes Wasmer

Hello,

qpdfview is really a great PDF viewer!
It would be my favorite Linux PDF viewer save for this 'little' feature missing.
In other viewers like Okular, SumatraPDF (wine/Windows), Foxit Reader, ...
there is a feature that highlights your current location in the document in the outline/bookmarks/TOC sidebar by highlighting the respective entry.
I find this feature really helpful to keep oversight when I am working through a larger document.

Dunno how much effort this feature would take,
but thanks in case someone wants to implement it.
Or for some thoughts on how to possibly implement it, if others are interested.

Cheers,
irratzo

Hello Johannes,

I am not completely sure if this is what you are looking for, but you could enable "synchronize outline" via the behavior tab of the settings dialog. This should expand/collapse the outline as you navigate through the document and make the first outline item matching your current position active.

Best regards,
Adam
