Bottom Task Launcher

I am thinking that the kids have right clicked on the bottom launcher and now the program launchers from there are gone. This is the launcher with the large icons that launch the kids programs. It still looks like there is a really skinny bar down there, but it doesn't have anything in it.

How do I get them back?

Is there a way to lock that down?

Well I have looked into this and it is the xfce panel. The panel is still there, just the quick launcher was removed. Adding the quick launcher back in did not bring the original quick launch icons back though

You will probably need to restore the original settings from the LiveCD, just log in as "ubuntu" instead of "qimo", and you will be able to mount your hard drive. Then just over-write everything in /home/qimo/.config on the hard drive with the same from the LiveCD.
