Uninstalling Qimo and formatting hard drive to NTFS

Hi. For work I had to install Qimo on one of our laptops. However, I now need to uninstall it and reinstall Windows 7. When I try booting from the Windows 7 disk, it complains that the partition isn't a recognized format, which means it isn't an NTFS format. How can I easily remove Qimo and then install Windows 7? Thanks for your help!

Just tell the Windows installer that it can format the disk however it wants, it should take care of reformatting it to NTFS.

It won't allow me to format it at all. From what I have read in other forums, this is a fault of Windows 7. So I am hoping there is some way I can remove Qimo and format the hard drive first before trying to install windows.

That's very strange, I would have assumed any OS installer would be capable of that. You can use a LiveCD with gparted and format the dirve that way.

Great, thanks for the suggestion. It is very odd. But the Gparted worked so its all good now. THanks.
