Saving

I'm learning how to do some basic programming in Python, the problem is, I do not know how to save the programs I create so that I can run them. Please help

Hello,

From the python tutorial ( http://docs.python.org/tut/tut.html )

On BSD'ish Unix systems, Python scripts can be made directly executable, like shell scripts, by putting the line
#! /usr/bin/env python

The script can be given an executable mode, or permission, using the chmod command:
$ chmod +x myscript.py
