Cannot decode video.mjpg

I cannot seem to view the file "video.mjpg" produced by "capture_video.py". I've tried all kinds of players, including mjepgtools player, and all fail. 'file' doesn't know what type of file it is either.

How can I play this file?

VLC should be able to display such video.
Eventually you have to install some additional codecs.

Thanks Manfred. Sorry, I think I may have jumped the gun blaming your module. My image sensors pixel format is Y16 and I'm guessing that is the probably, not the video format. Does that make sense to you?
