How to rename files with auto incrementing number?

I found a solution. Here it is if someone is interested:

use {num} in the renamed file pattern. You can also write {num2} to have min 2 digits (it will write 01 instead of just 1) you can also use {num3} to have a min 3 digits (001) etc.

{num} starts with 0. If you want it to start with 1 (or any other number) you can simply add it to num like this: {num+1} or {num3+1} etc.

There is a message on the GUI (close to the bottom):

"Put the mouse over the text fields to get the help on which patterns you can use"

It will give you some common pattern sets--with examples--you can apply in the "Renamed file name patter field", e.g. {num}, {date}, {time}, etc., for the tabs: Patterns, Images, Music.

Installed pyRenamer and am coming to terms with it. I can now manage to rename files to the same year from the metadata eg

Original Renamed to
Scanned Document-1.jpg 01Sep1962.jpg
Scanned Document-2.jpg 01Sep1962.jpg
Scanned Document.jpg 01Sep1962.jpg

What want to achieve is 01Sep1962-01.jpg,01Sep1962-2.jpg etc. Any ideas how to do this?
