Popper and Unity Panel

Asked by Thomas Rusche

Hey,
I installed Popper because I used it sometime ago and liked it alot (made a new laptop setup).
The configuration-GUI works, but not the integration into the unity panel messaging menu. So I can configure it, it says it works, but actually I cant use it, because it does not show up in Unity's panel. There are also no notifications. Is this a bug?

On Oneiric Ocelot it works, under Precise Pangolin, I got this error message when starting it manually:

python popper.py

** WARNING **: Trying to register gtype 'GSocketMsgFlags' as flags when in fact it is of type 'GEnum'
Traceback (most recent call last):
  File "popper.py", line 40, in <module>
    import indicate
ImportError: No module named indicate

I just had a look in synaptic and saw, that the package python-indicate wasn't installed. I just installed it via

sudo apt-get install python-indicate

voila - 95 new emails - it works ;)
