windows opening in bottom right corner

Hi, when I launch for instance nautilus from plank it always opens in the bottom right corner of my screen. I want it to open in the center of the screen.
How can I get this to work?

Plank doesn't position windows. What you are seeing is the doing of your window-manager.

I thought it started doing this after installing plank.
One more question, where/how in unity/ubuntu 15.10 do i tell my window manager to open windows in center?
