Can't put Firefox on Plank

Hi, I'm new to Plank, and I'm just testing it out in a live cd of Elementary OS. I installed Firefox to see how it ran, and it's working fine, except for when the firefox icon is in the dock, when I right click, there's no "Keep in Dock" option. Is this because it's a live cd?

I can not reproduce this running a live-session with elementaryos-stable-amd64.20140117.iso or elementaryos-unstable-amd64.20140407.iso
