silverlight5.1 works, silverlight5.0 ignored by browser
Firefox 36.0.1

I have successfully installed silverlight5.1 and seen the bubble test work OK. The service I am trying to access (NowTV) is one of those for which silverlight 5.0 is recommended. I have disabled the 5.1 plugin and enabled the 5.0 plugin, which seems to have worked:
igibbs@office-2 /usr/lib/
total 356
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 37 Mar 13 11:52 flashplugin-
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 39 Mar 4 11:33 libjavaplugin.so -> /etc/alternativ

-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 105440 Apr 1 2014 libtotem-
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 72048 Apr 1 2014 libtotem-
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 80576 Apr 1 2014 libtotem-
The plugin does not show up in about:plugins. If I switch back to 5.1, it does show up. Running the debug command produces nothing of interest:
(process:4461): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_slice_set_config: assertion 'sys_page_size == 0' failed
(firefox:4461): GLib-GObject-
(firefox:4461): GLib-GObject-
(firefox:4461): GLib-GObject-
(firefox:4461): GLib-GObject-
It seems Firefox has ignored the 5.0 plugin. When I switched to it, the license agreement was displayed as expected.
